Born and raised in Ukraine, Dr. Nazarenko joined Westmont College in 2010. She did her undergraduate and graduate studies at Kyiv State University and also earned Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and Culture at the University of Alberta and Master's in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Washington. Her research interests include assessment and enhancement of student learning in various educational contexts.

Dr. Angela D’Amour has served in Student Life leadership since 2007. She oversees student organization advising, orientation and the first-year experience, and coordinates student life assessment efforts. She also instructs a first-year seminar and the zero credit serving society general education requirement. Angela is a Westmont 2001 alumna (BS) and she has her Ph.D. in Education from UCSB.

Dr. Steve Butler

Dr. Loomer joined Westmont in 2020 after working in both private and public Preschool - 12th grade education for twenty-five years. A one time math teacher who holds a masters degree in Statistics, he enjoys using data to provide insights into the practice of education. He prefers a data informed decision making processes and so laughed after reading the Deming statement, "In God we trust, all others bring data."



Anna Jordan is a writer and teacher living in Santa Barbara, California with her husband and four children. She holds a BA in English Literature from Westmont College and an MFA in Creative Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her short stories and essays have appeared on Cup of Jo, Verily Magazine, Literary Mama, Flash Fiction Magazine, Mother.ly, and elsewhere. Anna served as the Director of Creativity for the online storytelling community Coffee+Crumbs, where she was also a contributing writer. Her essays are featured in the Coffee + Crumbs book, The Magic of Motherhood (Zondervan 2017)
Diane Ziliotto is the Special Collections Librarian at Westmont College. Since 2008, she has also served as the College Archivist. In addition to these duties, she performs traditional academic librarian tasks including research help, bibliographic instruction, and collection development. She is currently the liaison librarian to the following departments: Sociology and Anthropology, Theatre Arts, Modern Languages, and English.
Laura joined Westmont in 2024 as part of Curriculum and Educational Effectiveness under the Office of the Provost. Laura’s most recent employment was in IT Consulting for a non-profit Christian ministry in Kansas City; but most of her professional experience was as a Systems Analyst for a major health insurer in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, where she managed IT infrastructure projects and software implementation protocols. Laura’s BA is in International Relations from the University of Minnesota.
Laura is a recent transplant to Santa Barbara. She is enjoying discovering new plants in the California climate zone, which is significantly different than the Midwest.
